Nisar Chaudhry grew up in district Narowal, graduated from a government college, and moved to Lahore in 1996. After a short stint at Ericsson Telecom he became one of the five founding managers who launched Dunkin' Donuts in Pakistan, spent a year as general manager at the fish-and-chips chain Mr. Cod, and in 2007 co-founded the Yum group with partners Imran Maqsood and Imran Afaq. The group runs four brands, Yum Chinese and Thai, English Tea House, Spice Bazaar and Chashni, across around 25 locations, and employs more than 1,200 people.
