What the archive records
Umar Ahsan Khan is CEO of Dawlance, the Pakistani home-appliance maker now owned by Turkey's Arçelik. He read accounting and finance at the London School of Economics, returned to Pakistan in 1990, and spent two decades at ICI Pakistan before joining Dawlance as CFO under founder Bashir Dawood — the role in which he ran the sale process. He rejoined as CEO in 2019.
