What the archive records
Dr. Abdul Bari Khan is a Pakistani cardiac surgeon and philanthropist who founded Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN). After witnessing the suffering of underprivileged patients at Karachi's Civil Hospital and the aftermath of the 1986 Bori Bazaar bomb blast, he led the creation of Pakistan's first large-scale, free-of-cost, paperless tertiary care hospital. He served as CEO from 2007 to 2022 before becoming President.
